What you can do RIGHT NOW to improve your SEO rankings!
Are you looking to improve your keyword rankings on Google or YouTube? Look no further, as I will show you how to increase your rankings fast!
This is a no-brainer for most SEO professionals out there, but something that's often overlooked. I'm talking about the basics of Search Engine Optimization here; here are some more on-page SEO tips to get started.
Tiny adjustments can make a BIG difference when it comes to keyword rankings. So if you're looking to improve your rankings on Google or YouTube, here's the first place I start:
Title and Description tags.
You'd be surprised at what a difference a subtle change in these two areas could make, but where do you start?
Synonyms. It sounds simple enough, yet most avoid it for feat that they have fewer searches than the original words on Google, YouTube, or wherever you're looking to rank.
The thing is that Google, which also owns YouTube's algorithm, has improved significantly over the years. You might even have noticed that you rank for keywords containing synonyms of the original keyword or phrase you initially intended to target.
This is because synonyms play a vital role in general keyword rankings and search engine algorithms.
Sure, a synonym might have fewer searches than the original, but that also means much lower competition, which can produce traffic to your blog or video that might blow your mind.
So if you're looking to rank, let's say, an article on "10 alternatives to XYZ," which is a great phrase to use, try something like "10 products similar to XYZ", "10 XYZ clones", or "10 products like XYZ".
You get the point. Switch things up a bit, and the results might surprise you. Talking about switching things up, sometimes it takes simply switching your wording around a bit in your meta title and description tags.
It's that simple. Always try incorporating your keywords and phrases in your titles and descriptions for maximum effect.

You probably know that your primary phrase should be in your title, but where I see many SEO newbies fail is the placement of keywords in their descriptions.
Always mention your primary phrase or keyword at the start of your description. The first few words in your opening sentence should contain either your primary phrase or a variation we've just spoken about.
The same applies to your images if we're talking about an article. Ensure your image ALT tags follow these principles.
Switch things around, shuffle those keywords, and experiment with different synonyms and variations.
In SEO, a little can go a long way. That's my secret to testing and tweaking my target keywords in phrases until I achieve rankings that pull actual results.
Of course, there's a lot more to optimizing your content for search engines which we're not going to go into today, but always start with the basics and work your way from there.
